Paul Honour

I would like to introduce myself to those of you that don’t know me.

I became Chairman in 2023 taking over from Richard Jones. At the time I was a little uncertain about taking on the post.

But I couldn’t stand by and see the county get mothballed as had happened in recent years with another county.

I’ve been a key member in my club at Great Rissington Archers since I joined in 2012 and then becoming a coach in 2013, I’ve competed at all levels, from friendly club comps, shot for the county team and events like the UK Masters and have recently taken up the challenge of field and 3D archery.

I see that Gloucestershire still has so much potential and the committee really have a passion to continually make improvements to benefit all of our county clubs and bring all of our clubs together no matter the size.

I have a real passion to see the achievements of all of our members, no matter your capabilities, we all have our own goals, whether it’s competing in the national tour or just getting out of your comfort zone and competing in your first club target day.
