
DBS Check
Gloucestershire Archery Society recognises that safeguarding those members of society is everyone’s business and that all may become vulnerable at many stages in their lives.
Archery GB is committed to ensuring that all its members enjoy Archery in a safe and enjoyable environment. All people who are aged 16 and over who are involved in regulated activity (see flow diagram below) are required by law to have DBS disclosure.
Having consulted with the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit, Archery GB considers the duties carried out by the following roles to be regulated activity:
- Sports Coach
- Non-certified Coach/Archer
- Child Protection Officer/Welfare Officer/Safeguarding Officer
- Club Supervisor
